Oregon Insurance Regulator Newsletter

In the Fall 2008 Oregon Insurance Regulator newsletter there is a reference in the "Current Events" section to a hearing regarding Regence’s "proposed" 26% rate increase. The reference has caused some confusion. This is a reference to a hearing regarding the 2008 third quarter rate renewal, which was approved by the state in May of 2008 and went into effect July 1, 2008.

Regence is currently in the approval process for second quarter 2009. We will notify our agent community of any rate changes upon approval. We have not filed rates for third quarter of 2009.
