Innova, Engage, and Activate Product Enhancement and Changes

Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon will be implementing a number of product enhancements to the Regence InnovaSM, Regence Engage®, and Regence ActivateSM products. The following benefits will be available for July 1, 2009 and later effective dates:
Innova
- Addition of a $3,000 deductible option
- Addition of a $1,500 complementary care option (Not available in Clark County)
Engage
- Addition of a $3,000 deductible option
- Addition of a $1,500 complementary care option (Not available in Clark County)
Activate
- Addition of a $1,500 complementary care option (Not available in Clark County)
- Now all members will enjoy the benefit of rolling over their Member Choice Account funds from year to year, up to their deductible amount. Activate members will no longer have to meet any participation thresholds in order to keep their earned funds. This change will enable members to get the most value out of their healthy choices by giving them the freedom to use their funds now, or save them for future use.
- Enhanced communications will keep employees engaged, through an interactive demonstration of the MCA, worksite reminder posters & e-mails, and enhanced messaging through myRegence.com to remind Activate members to log on and keep earning funds.
In addition to new benefit options, we have made language clarifications to these products effective July 1, 2009. Renewing groups will receive a summary of changes document outlining these changes, included in the group’s renewal packet. Please note, the Summary of Changes document only applies to groups enrolled on Innova, Engage, Activate, or HSA Healthplan 2.0 products.
Revised Group Master Applications
Group Master Applications (GMA) have been updated and will be added to the Agent and Employer web sites early next week. In addition to the above new product enhancements, additional changes are as follows:
Clark County 2- 99 and 100+ GMAs:
- Federal Tax ID Number (EIN) field has been divided into 2 (two) fields in order to allow space to key both the Federal Tax ID Number and the State Tax ID Number which are both required for Washington business.
- Section 2 – Eligibility Information
The Group Eligibility section has been revised to better define the Employee Count.
NOTE: In preparation for an upcoming Imaging Workflow project that is currently under development, you will also notice bar-coding and additional features on the GMA. These will have not impact on users at this time.
