Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon Ranks in the Top Ten Nationally

The September 2009 issue of Consumer Reports ranks 41 PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) health plans nationally, based on responses of subscribers reporting their experiences over the course of a year. Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon (RBCBSO) was ranked ninth in the nation, higher than any other Oregon PPO plan evaluated.  RBCBSO scored 79 out of 100 possible points (the two top ranking plans had a score of 82). The nearest Oregon PPO plan evaluated scored 73 points.  The telephone customer service scores were a strong point for RBCBSO.  We urge you to obtain a copy Consumer Reports to reference as you assist your customers in PPO plan evaluation.
