For Clark County Groups only- New Law in Washington eliminates optional re-rating

Late last year, Governor  Gregoire signed Senate Bill 6538 into law, defining the census date for renewing small groups (1 to 50) as 90 days prior to the renewal’s effective date. 

Due to the enactment of SB 6538, we are making the following changes to our Community-group processes starting with Jan. 1, 2011, effective dates:

Renewal delivery date 

• The timeline for downloading the census information for renewing groups has been reduced from 120 to 90 days. Therefore, we will deliver Community renewals through Agent Center 55 days prior to the group’s effective date. 
• Once Regence has determined the census based on the 90 day requirement as stipulated by  SB 6538, re-rating a group’s renewal will not be allowed.
