Introducing Producer News
Effective immediately, we’re changing the name of our newsletter from Agent News to Producer News. We'll implement the new name, along with a new design, across our four-state region (Idaho, Oregon, Utah and Washington).
Since many of you are appointed in multiple states, each Plan's name will appear at the top of its newsletter banner to distinguish it from the others.
We're making these changes to clarify communications, update the newsletter, and align it with the branding of our other communications and marketing pieces. The newsletter's purpose is to keep you informed and be a resource that helps you with your business. Producer News will help us further that purpose.
Updated enrollment spreadsheet template now available on our website
Enrollment via spreadsheet makes providing enrollment data simpler and reduces opportunities for errors that can slow enrollment time. We’ve updated our spreadsheet enrollment template to make it easier to understand and enter enrollment data. We hope that the clearer instructions and additional columns make the template easier to use. Our Guide to Changes in Spreadsheet Enrollment highlights these changes and provides new users with helpful tips.
New Subscriber Enrollment via spreadsheet is available to New Groups (of any size) and Existing Groups (20+ Employee). Groups using the spreadsheet do not need to provide paper applications. Our template includes directions for use and is available on the forms page on our public website. In addition to spreadsheet enrollment, we also offer Online Enrollment and eBilling to groups of all sizes. A group can add eEnroll any time during the year. Groups have two options: Online Enrollment only, or Online Enrollment and eBilling. (There is no eBilling-only option.)
A producer or Third Party Administrator (TPA) may have access to Online Enrollment as a proxy for the group administrator provided that they are nominated as the secondary group administrator through Employer Center. Once the group is set up, our membership department provides Online Enrollment and eBilling training over the phone to the group administrator or their proxy.
As a reminder, new group (size 1-50) submissions on or after the 20th of the month will require prior approval and need to be submitted via spreadsheet enrollment. Groups of 1-4 must be turned in no later than 5 business days prior to the effective date. No exceptions.
If you have questions or need help using our updated spreadsheet enrollment template or any of our online enrollment tools, please talk to your Regence Sales contact.
myRegence.com adds more features to aid in transparency
myRegence.com has made great strides in increasing transparency. New features allow consumers to easily search for ER alternatives, view quality recognitions of individual clinicians, and see where a specific service, such as an X-ray, fits in a larger course of treatment.
The cost to the health system can be 10 times more for an ER visit versus an urgent care or doctor visit. That’s why it’s in everyone’s best interest to help members find ER alternatives. myRegence.com has made improvements to highlight the three types of ER alternatives: urgent care clinics, retail health centers, and walk-in clinics.
myRegence.com provides:
- Links on to the ER alternatives page
- Easy search for ER alternatives close to home
- Improved filtering of search results
- Ability for providers to designate themselves on Provider Center as walk-in clinics
- Icons next to facility locations with ER alternatives
Quality Recognitions have been added for clinicians, not just clinics. This helps your clients make a more informed decision about which provider to choose.
