Regence Life and Health Portability Discontinuation
June 30, 2011

As of January 30, 2012, Regence Life & Health will no longer offer group or individual health benefit options in Oregon. Regence Life & Health will continue to offer life, disability, and voluntary products (including individual dental plans)..

Approximately 109 contracts will be affected by this change. We will be sending a letter later this month informing them that their health care benefit plan will be discontinued effective January 30, 2012. The letter also details other available options for health care coverage, such as:

  • Portability plans through Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon
  • Portability through Oregon Medical Insurance Pool (OMIP)
  • Individual coverage (health statement underwriting may apply)
  • Oregon Healthy Kids Connect for children
  • Options that complement Medicare
