2011 Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon Individual Evolve Rates

We appreciate your patience while we waited for our rate filing to be reviewed and approved by the state of Oregon. Rates have been approved by the Oregon Insurance Division and will be effective October 1st, 2011.
The newly approved rates apply for members who should have renewed July, August and September, along with those renewing in October. The rate adjustment for renewing members will average 12.8%. The member’s adjustment is based on their plan and age. The timing of age band adjustments has been moved to coincide with any annual rate adjustment. NOTE: Members with original effective dates of July, August and September will renew in October moving forward.
Members have been notified of several state mandated benefits and contract changes that were effective July 1st, 2011. Please refer to the agent communication posted last week for details on that mailing.
The October 1, 2011 rates will also apply to new business effective on or after October 1, 2011. The increase from our previous February 1, 2011 rates is 3.2%
