Good Afternoon:

I am writing to inform you of some exciting news here at Regence that was announced to employees this morning. Effective immediately, Don Antonucci will serve a new role within the company. Don has been offered and has accepted the position of president, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon. In his position, Don will continue to direct efforts in expanding Regence’s existing position of leadership within a dynamic Oregon market. With a sharp focus on understanding and responding to the evolving needs of members, he will guide Regence’s growth and service in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Don has shown strong leadership within our organization and within the community. His deep knowledge of our complex health care environment is a direct reflection of his extensive background in sales, research, marketing, and policy. He understands the evolving needs of our members and our company, and his appointment will serve both well.

Don has been serving in this new capacity on an interim basis for the past month, while continuing to direct the Oregon Sales Team as vice president of sales. As he assumes this permanent position, he will begin an immediate search for a new sales vice president. Don’s appointment provides continuity of leadership to our company and to the relationships he has established with each of you during his time as vice president of sales.
