Clark County plan changes resulting from self-administered anticancer legislation effective 1/1/2012

With the passage of House Bill 1517, the Washington legislature mandated that plans that provide coverage for cancer chemotherapy treatment provide coverage for prescribed, self-administered anticancer medication on a basis at least comparable to cancer chemotherapy medications administered by a health care provider or facility, as defined by Washington State law.

We’re modifying our fully insured group and Individual products to comply with this legislation.  (Self-insured groups don’t have to comply).
