Flexible & Affordable
The BlueChoices product suite offers businesses
the freedom to mix and match three products –
BlueEssentials,
BluePreferred,
and BlueClassic
– with up to three provider networks. There are
numerous ways to create an affordable solution by opting
for the spot on the matrix that best suits their criteria.
1. Statewide panel using Providence
Health System, OHSU, Southwest Washington Medical Center,
and Tualiifty Community Hospital in the Portland-metro
area
2. Available in Clackamas, Columbia, Multnomah, Washington
and Clark (WA) counties
Each product also provides three deductible options.
Customers can choose a smaller network with a higher
deductible for a less-expensive approach…or create
a plan with richer benefits and more selection in their
provider network. With this flexible approach to health
coverage, you’re empowered to help clients tailor
an affordable solution that’s right for their
company.
Cost Sharing
BlueChoices encourages employers to choose
a slightly higher deductible to offset their premium
costs, and then pair this with a tax-advantaged employee
spending account to help meet employee expectations.
A flexible spending account (FSA) or health reimbursement
account (HRA) offer employers and their employees numerous
advantages. Members have more exposure to the true cost
of health care and a greater appreciation of their “hidden
paycheck”. With control of their health-care dollars
in a fund they can access for important needs, employees
also become savvier health-care consumers.
