Regence is pleased to announce that our flu shot program will be available again for 2009.  We are teaming up with a number of vendors and pharmacies to make getting a flu shot convenient for you and your employees.

A list of flu shot providers can be found here.  These flu shot providers will bill us directly, so flu shots will be free ($0 dollar copay) at their flu shot clinic locations for Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon and Regence Life and Health Insurance Company members with medical coverage. Members may also receive their flu shots from participating pharmacists in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Please check with individual pharmacies to find out if they allow walk-ins or have specific hours for administering flu shots.

To be eligible for the free flu shot, members must show their current member card. Even though parental consent may be required for members aged 13 through 17, not all immunization providers will administer the shots to individuals under age 18. In Oregon, pharmacists can administer influenza immunizations to individuals aged 15 years and older.  Please encourage your employees to contact individual immunization providers directly to verify age requirements.

If you are interested in setting-up a work-site flu prevention clinic for your employees, please contact one of the immunization providers. Note that some providers have minimum participation requirements. Work-site flu shots are free for employees and their family members who have medical coverage with us. Employees and family members not covered by us will be charged at the work-site clinic.

Please contact your Sales team if you have questions.
