Update: Did you know providers
can access an estimate of a member’s
out-of-pocket expense for a range of treatment
options and conditions through Provider Center?

As part of our ongoing efforts to make cost
and quality information available to members,
Regence has launched our Treatment Cost Estimator.
Using the Treatment Cost Estimator, members are
able to access network average cost for a range
of treatment options and conditions and view
out-of-pocket expense estimates for these same
conditions and treatment options through the
Treatment Cost Estimator tool on myRegence.com.
In addition, providers can now access out-of-pocket
expense estimates for members through Provider
Center.
What differentiates the Regence Treatment Cost
Estimator from those already available in the
marketplace is its ability to:
- Isolate or aggregate the average costs to
the geographic region the consumer
resides in
- Compare the average cost of various treatment
options
- Separate the treatment into easy-to-understand
stages and provide the average number of days
within each stage
- Provide information about the services associated
with the treatment, including the frequency
of the service within each stage
- Highlight cost differences between places
of service (e.g., an outpatient hospital versus
a free-standing center)
