A survey of Oregon ambulatory practices and clinics was conducted by the Office of Oregon Health Policy and Research during the Fall of 2006 to identify:

• How many practices and clinicians have adopted Electronic Practice Management (EPM) systems and/or Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• What factors influence adoption
• Which systems are most in use
• Which areas have higher adoption rates
• Reasons for not adopting EHR technology
